Died: November 26, 1907 (Has also been given as November 28, 1907)

Grave location: Post Cemetery, Fort Meade, Sturgis, South Dakota

Although she was not an actual trooper, Rose Courtney was the civilian servant for Lt. George  Wallace of the 7th Cavalry. Wallace was later killed at Wounded Knee.  Courtney was the widow of a soldier and was given a cabin to live in for the rest of her life. On the night she moved in the cabin burned, killing Courtney.
